The infrastructure is aging — the carpets are worn, the elevator system is loud and slow!!! The temperature control rarely works properly, oscillating between hot and cold, making it uncomfortable!!! More attention to cleanliness is definitely necessary!!!

i had a wonderful stay at the grand hotel excelsior. the room was clean and spacious, making it perfect for relaxation. the breakfast buffet was fantastic with a variety of choices. what really stood out was the courteous and efficient staff in the restaurant, which delivered excellent meals with a stunning view of sicily and mount etna.

Had a fantastic time with friends here! The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions. We loved visiting the archaeological museum and enjoying the stunning views. The breakfast was fresh, and the staff were friendly. A great place to stay if you're looking for comfort and convenience.
One downside was the hair dryer in the bathroom, it was pretty much useless.

The room I stayed in was spacious with a charming ambiance, featuring lovely curtains and effective blackout curtains perfect for a restful sleep. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices, and I appreciated the attentive staff who were very accommodating throughout my stay. The sea view from my room provided a beautiful backdrop for my work.
The air conditioning only went down to 22.5 degrees.

Enjoyed my stay with a superb room that had lovely silk fabric accents and cozy white bed linens, which made for a perfect night’s sleep. The jacuzzi and massage services were fantastic for relaxation after a busy day. The only downside was that the elevators seemed a bit outdated, but it didn't take away from the overall great experience. 😊

Staff were extremely helpful, especially in making dinner reservations and accommodating special requests. However, the towels were worn and the travel to the hotel can be chaotic. Some parts of the hotel show signs of aging that could use attention.
